Digna

We came from the dignity, we assume that condition, to be human beings, as persons an as society, the opening act for the exercise and the realization of the rights, the reason to do what we have to do, the center from which we want to assure our future.

What is DIGNA?

Digna is a fingerprint that we want to leave. Is a proposal of young people, which known them selves as components of one generation that have never meet the peace, and refuses to make any longer this absence, DIGNA propose to recover the dignity of a society in crisis, as a key exercise for the realization of the human rights (all of them civil and political, economical, social and cultural, collective and environmental), the construction of peace and the strengthen of the democracy.

DIGNA is an initiative in movement, that takes the diversity in politics, etnics philosophy, regional, of genres, join young people in Colombia and all around the world, who had the decision of think and make of Colombia a country where the differences and the conflicts, could be solved without violence, a country where you can assure a democratical and social of right status, a country where not everything whort and where we can try a future different than the one we face today.

 

Why DIGNA?

Because the most precious possession of the human being is the dignity, be cause the people of Colombia beside of its dignity have rights, because the new generations had a must of solidarity with all the victims.  

Because we don’t want another generation growing in violence, conflict an uncertainty, because we want to get connected whit all the society, using our own language, creating new scenarios, because we want to create new paradigms, participate without fear and in democracy.    

 

How you can participate in DIGNA?

Whit your voice (www.vozdigna.org) jointly the movement actively, coming up whit your knowledge and interest in our virtual community, campaigns and events and everything you think you can give to remake the dignity of the country.   

 

How do DIGNA Express its ideas?

Whit art, creative irreverence, freedom, arguments and proposals, whit the fingerprints that identify us as whorty human beings.

 

Which is the objective of DIGNA?

To call the country of today to think in a different country, like the one we dare to dream, from the generation DIGNA that we propose, we invite to think an act, to reconstruct the memory reaffirm rights, reivindicate the victims, rethink the democracy, try the peace, be transparent in the administration, protect the nature, know the difference and respect the diversity, know, argument, propose and make  

 

What is DIGNA going to do?

 

Seed the “DIGNA capsule”, to freeze time in the age of shame, the accumulated violence in half century (1959-2009), the realities of the present (2009), and the idea of country that we imagine in 50 years (2059). A capsule full o messages of boys and girls, adolescents, young, men’s and women’s, Indians, and afro descendents, LGTB (lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgender), old people, from the literature, the poetry, the music, the journalism, the politics, the symbols and all the possible creativity, they are assumed from the dignity of the future, that from now we are building.

 

Why now DIGNA?

 

Why should after? In Colombia the young people had mobilized always, on the journeys against the dictatorship, in the half of  XX  century, on the “septima papeleta”, on the mandate for the peace, we have to go on the idea of the young people of now not interested on the country, the young people will always be the young people, on different scenarios, with different context, with the responsibility of changing the world, maybe this is a key moment for the reflection and action. From now DIGNA will raise our voice whit out screaming, to be heard, not just to be listened.

 

Who support DIGNA?

 

DIGNA is supported every person who wanted to, and who believe that is possible, the construction of a country with rights, with respect and dignity. People giving everything for the young, and the young trying to remake our own future.

 

What is not DIGNA?

 

Is not a political party, not a religion, we are a movement, that think Colombia in key of past (know the history and do not repeat the tragedies), of present (learn the reality we live today) and of the future (where are we going as a country?), assault by the idea of a peaceful country, with democracy, where the victims be part of the past that is never coming back, whit mountains, rivers, with dignity (will be that hard?)
